Faith: Wading Through Troubled Waters
We come to understand that “God don’t make no junk” when we realize that every human being is blessed and worthy, even when we fall short of perfection. We begin to understand the magnificence of humanity as created by God when we realize that depicting humanity as totally depraved is an idolatrous celebration of sin and an exaltation of evil, a blasphemy. Such blasphemy closes us off from God’s grace and blessings. To be human is to claim our blessedness and our sin as part of our living faith. To be human is to know that we are not God, to know faith as the basis of our total, complete, rejuvenating health.
