Our prayers as people of faith, should express a broad range of both thanksgiving and petition, that reflect the diversity of experiences in our lives, and in the lives of those who we are most concerned about. This week, following the Thanksgiving holiday, and in preparation for the celebration of Advent and Christmas, let us practice both offering to the Lord the gift of a thankful heart, and the practice of sincere petitions for the needs of others. May the Holy Spirit lead you as you take time to pray this week. Here is a suggestion you may follow, or you can devise your own list and method.
