For Week of December 14, 2020
Our early Christmas gift can be regarded as the creation of a vaccine for the coronavirus 2020. We have prayed for this to occur for nine months and here it appears to be. Let us continue to pray for the complicated details as we move forward and pray about the results to bring healing and widespread health to our world and nation. Let us also pray for people to have open hearts and minds to receive the help that is made available, and wise in the meantime to stay vigilant keeping safe and making others safe. During this holiday season we praise God for saving grace and redemption.
This prayer may guide you in your prayers of praise:
Almighty God,
you wonderfully created
and yet more wonderfully restored
the dignity of human nature.
In your mercy, by the power of the Holy Spirit,
grant that we may share the divine life of Jesus Christ,
who humbled himself to share our humanity
and who now lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
One God, now and forever. Amen
The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of the shadow of death
a light has dawned.
Jesus Christ is our life and light.
In his name and in his power, let us worship God!
